Right of withdrawal
The general rule
As a consumer you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase under the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act, section 21. The period runs from the day the contract was entered into.
The exception for digital content
Section 22 (n) of the Act makes an exception for the supply of digital content not delivered on a physical medium, where delivery has begun and all four conditions are met:
- the contract obliges the consumer to pay
- the consumer has given express prior consent to delivery beginning before the withdrawal period expires
- the consumer has acknowledged that the right of withdrawal is thereby lost
- the trader has provided confirmation under section 11 or section 18
The provision took this wording by Act of 16 June 2023 no. 38, in force 1 October 2023, implementing the EU Modernisation Directive (EU) 2019/2161.
How we do it
All four conditions are met during checkout, in this order:

The declaration you tick
I expressly consent to the delivery of the digital content beginning immediately upon purchase, before the 14-day withdrawal period has expired, and I acknowledge that I thereby lose my right of withdrawal.
Want to keep the right of withdrawal?
Then do not tick the box. Our store always delivers immediately, so without the tick you cannot complete the purchase there. Write instead to hei@mija.no and we will set up a purchase with deferred delivery. You then have 14 days, and you get the files when the period ends — or earlier if you tell us.
Faulty goods regardless
Withdrawal is about changing your mind. Your rights when something is defective are separate, and you cannot waive them. If the files are corrupt, in the wrong resolution or otherwise deficient, write to us — we will fix it or refund you. The burden of proof rests with us for one year after delivery.
Withdrawal form
You may use the standard withdrawal form, but it is not mandatory — a clear message to us is enough. Feel free to copy the template below:

Processing time
If we accept a withdrawal or a defect claim, we refund the full amount to the same payment method within 14 days. Download access is revoked at the same time.
