Licence terms
This text also ships as LICENCE.txt inside every pack you download.
What you may do
- Use the images as wallpaper on an unlimited number of devices you own or control — phone, tablet, laptop, monitor, watch.
- Edit, crop, colour-adjust and adapt them however you like, for personal use.
- Keep them forever. The licence is perpetual and does not lapse if you stop buying from us.
What you may not do
- Resell, redistribute or share the images — individually or as a collection.
- Publish them in an app, on a website, in a wallpaper service or on a marketplace.
- Use them as a logo, trademark or business identifier.
- Print them on products for sale.
Commercial use beyond your own screen requires a separate agreement. Write to hei@mija.no — we usually say yes, and it costs less than you would think.
How the images are made
Every image is generated with generative artificial intelligence, then curated, cropped and finished by us. No third-party photographs, no stock images and no scraped images are involved. We do not claim the images are photographed or made by hand.
We never ask the model to reproduce recognisable real people, trademarks, logos, known characters or named landmarks. Every theme and every individual image prompt passes through a filter that stops this before anything is generated.
About copyright — honestly
Under Norwegian and European law, copyright presupposes an original and individual creative effort by a human being. For purely AI-generated images it is doubtful whether protection arises at all. There is no settled case law, and we will not claim something we cannot stand behind.
That is why the restrictions above are worded as a contract between you and us — accepted at purchase — and not as a claim of copyright. The contract applies regardless of how the copyright question may one day be decided.
It also means something for you: you are not buying exclusivity to a design. A similar image may appear elsewhere. What you buy is a finished, curated set in every format you need, ready to use.
If something is wrong with the files
You have full statutory rights if the goods are defective. If a file is corrupt, in the wrong resolution or missing a format you paid for, write to us. The burden of proof that the content was free of defects rests with us for one year after delivery, and we will fix it or refund you.
